The Texas Tree Conference is one of the nation’s largest educational sessions focusing on urban forestry.
Sponsored by Texas A&M Forest Service, the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture and the Texas Urban Forestry Council, the annual three-day conference brings in national, state and local leaders who discuss the leading ways to care for trees and promote urban forestry.
Community Forestry Awards — including Texas Arborist of the Year, Arboricultural Project of the Year and various Gold Leaf Awards — also are presented during the conference.
These awards recognize both groups and individuals who have completed exceptional projects in their community. Each winner receives a framed, limited-edition print of a notable or historic Texas tree.
