Do not let a wildfire ruin your Independence Day celebrations

June 24, 2009 -- COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Fireworks and outdoor activities are commonly linked to Fourth of July celebrations, but Texas Forest Service (TFS) warns that carelessness with fireworks and other outdoor activities can lead to a wildfire. With summer in full swing, grass, shrubs and trees are starting to dry out. NATURE CAMP 2009

Nature Camp 2009
A couple dozen kids from a College Station church got a double dose of the outdoors last week during Nature Camp 2009, organized by Christ United Methodist Church and Texas Forest Service. The kids participated in activities like kayaking and fishing and learned a little about bug and trees in the process.
